I started working with Martin as a complete newcomer to strength training. From our very first session he has impressed me with his care and professionalism. He is excellent at patiently explaining new exercises and giving feedback. Along with his calm and gentle demeanour, this has made for a really encouraging vibe which is very different from the stereotypical “personal trainer” persona that might have put me off.
I really appreciate how he’s focused on my long-term health and sustainable habits by erring on the side of establishing correct form and building up a safe foundation of strength, instead of risking injury by going too hard too early. He’s consistently impressed me with the depth and detail of his knowledge about anatomy and exercise science, while being humble and clear about the limits of his training.
